This site is all about music, music production, composition, remixing, sound design, mixing, experiments, collecting records and a good cup of coffee…
You can call it portfolio!
I’m just trying to make the world a very little better with a good sound.
It’s not only about the gear you use, it’s more about the knowledge you have!
I’m a music producer, composer, sound designer, and mixing engineer based in Weimar, Germany. In music production and mixing, knowledge and experience are more important than having the latest gear. While high-end equipment can improve sound quality and offer more creative possibilities, it’s the understanding of sound and the creative process that truly makes a track stand out. It’s not just about the tools; it’s about how you use them to bring your ideas to life.
That said, I work with a range of professional equipment, including Universal Audio, Genelec, Neumann, Moog, and more, to ensure the best possible sound. Good gear allows for greater clarity, precision, and creative freedom, but it’s the skills behind it that make the real difference. As a former audio production teacher at Bauhaus-University Weimar, I’m also experienced with a variety of software platforms, including Ableton, Cubase, Pro Tools, and Logic.
… just making Beats and Pieces…
Over the past two decades, I have released a couple of records, tracks and remixes on a variety of labels, including Moon Harbour Records, Sonar Kollektiv, Room with a View, K7!, Z Records, Compost Records, and many others. I have also created music for radio features and podcasts for national broadcasters such as RBB, WDR, and SWR, as well as composed a movie soundtrack for OSTLICHT Filmproduktion and music for a series of audio walks.

… sound design…
I’m specialized in sound design for podcasts, radio features, and audio walks. For me, sound design goes beyond simply mimicking real-world sounds—it’s about crafting immersive soundscapes that convey the emotional essence of a scene or situation. I focus on creating spaces that build a sense of atmosphere, whether it’s capturing a particular mood or enhancing the storytelling experience.
When I have the opportunity, I like to incorporate my modular synthesizer system to generate original samples and loops. This allows me to experiment with new textures, layers, and sound structures, pushing creative boundaries and developing rich, dynamic auditory environments. By blending organic and electronic elements, I can shape unique soundscapes that make each project feel distinct and alive.
… live engineering…
For about seven years, I served as the live engineer for Martin Kohlstedt, both for his solo performances and his collaboration with the Gewandhauschor Leipzig. It was an incredible experience traveling across Europe and working in renowned venues such as the Elbphilharmonie, the Wiener Konzerthaus, the Glasshouse in Gateshead, the Leipzig Gewandhaus or the La Seine Musicale in Paris. I also had the opportunity to be part of festivals like the Appletree Garden Festival, Fusion Festival, or the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE).
